Luminere is Biltmore’s enchanting after-dark illumination experience, and it transforms the historic gardens into a dreamscape of light, sound, and storytelling. It runs select evenings through October 18, 2026, so it’s the perfect reason to slip away to Asheville for a night — or two — this season. We’ve wandered the gardens after dark ourselves, and it’s every bit as magical as it sounds.
Planning Your Luminere Visit
Gates open at 4:30 PM, and the illumination show begins at nightfall. We always recommend arriving early. That way, you can enjoy golden hour, explore the gardens, and try Biltmore’s dining options before the lights come on. Best of all, your Luminere ticket includes two full days of estate access — plenty of time to bike the trails, enjoy the activities, or simply roam the grounds at your own pace.
What to Know Before You Go
Biltmore offers several Luminere ticket options, from evening-only grounds access to packages that include a house tour. Evening tickets are date-specific, but they don’t require a timed entry — you can arrive any time after 4:30 PM. If you add a house tour, you’ll choose a specific tour time when you book, just like any daytime visit.
A few quick notes before you go: tickets are non-refundable, and the illumination show repeats throughout the evening, so you can take it in at your own pace. For full details on tickets, dining, parking, and accessibility, see Biltmore’s official Luminere Planning Guide.
Why Stay at Pinecrest for Luminere
Pinecrest sits just three miles from Biltmore’s entrance, so you’re close to the magic without a long drive home afterward. And because Luminere runs late, our complimentary late checkout (subject to availability) lets you sleep in the next morning — a small touch that makes a big difference after a night under the lights.
